A little about us.
Balnuith Alpacas is a rare breed working farm experience based at Balnuith Farm in Tealing, near Dundee. We offer alpaca walk and talk experiences in the Angus countryside, giving visitors the chance to meet our alpacas and many of the other unusual animals we care for on the farm. Our farm is home to over 200 animals, including more than 60 alpacas, with both Huacaya and Suri alpacas bred here at Balnuith. Visitors can learn about alpacas, choose an alpaca to walk, enjoy a gentle countryside stroll, and meet rare breed animals including miniature Mediterranean donkeys, guanacos, Swiss Valais sheep, pygmy goats and more. We also share how alpaca fleece is used, including wool for felting, spinning and handmade knitted items. Visits are by appointment only, making the experience personal, relaxed and suitable for animal lovers looking for something a bit different on a real working farm.
