A little about us.
We are an independent family butcher serving Cumbria with quality meats, traditional butchery and friendly personal service. We carefully select British meat from trusted suppliers and prepare everything in-house, offering a wide range of fresh cuts, handmade sausages, burgers, roasting joints and seasonal products. Our aim is to provide customers with quality produce, expert advice and proper local butchery.

Established in 1957, AE Brown and Son is an international award winning family business now in its fourth generation. To date Browns’ has received 171 awards, including the diamond award for white puddings in 2017 and the diamond award for their steak and chocolate sausages in 2000 which garnered national media attention. Weel-kent by the locals for their steak pies, or why not try the Pie Of The Week? Browns’ offers a varied selection of specialty sausages and burgers, as well as many other delicious dishes, all made with locally sourced produce.

ButchersA&I Quality Butchers
A&I Quality Butchers opened their doors for business in November 1997, with Alistair Paul and Ian McAllister, in Culloden both having worked together for Walter MacDonald’s and between them had over 50 years experience. The business grew faster than either of them expected and within a month we had to employ another butcher and a team member to make what was to become known as “ Ali Paul’s Steak Pie” other pies and another favorite – our coleslaw. A&I Quality Butchers also take pride in training young people in the skills of butchering, to ensure this craft is passed on and not lost in an age of convenience. Our own Master Butcher, Ali Paul, is frequently invited to visit local schools and nurseries to raise awareness of the traditional trade and inspire the next generation! Our award-winning products, from puddings to pies, are all made in our Bake House in Culloden. This is our business hub where our handmade range are created, including our hand-linked sausages, burgers, pies and puddings, all under the watchful eye of our skilled staff. A&I Quality Butchers have been based in the Shopping Centre on Keppoch Road in Culloden, Inverness since we first opened our doors and counters in 1997. For over 20 years we have been at the heart of the community in Inverness and take great pride in knowing our customers and their requirements.

Alex Mitchell Butchers is an award-winning family-run Scottish master butcher and poulterer based in Glenrothes, Fife. We have over 60 years of butchery experience and specialise in quality Scottish meat, traditional butcher’s favourites, poultry, bakery products and online meat delivery. As members of the Scotch Butchers Club, we carefully select our suppliers to provide Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork, with meat sourced from trusted Scottish countryside producers and prepared with proper traditional butchery standards.
