BobCat Alpacas

A little about us.

BobCat Alpacas is a small alpaca farm based just south of Edinburgh, on the edge of the Pentland Hills Regional Park near Bonaly and Colinton. We established the farm in 2015 after buying around 12 acres of land, with a focus on caring for and breeding alpacas, producing high-quality fleece and offering memorable alpaca experiences for visitors. Our core work is looking after our herd, breeding carefully selected alpacas and harvesting and processing fleece each year. We also welcome visitors for pre-booked alpaca experiences, where you can meet our male alpacas, learn how to handle them, enjoy a walk through the Pentland Regional Park, hand-feed the alpacas back at the farm and meet the mums and babies when the season allows. Alongside our alpaca walks, we also offer weddings, therapy visits, education, special events, alpacas for sale, fleece-related products and an online shop.

What you’ll find

We offer bookable alpaca experiences, including hands-on visits, alpaca walks through the Pentland Regional Park, alpaca feeding and the chance to meet members of our herd. We also offer alpacas as special guests for weddings and community events, therapy visits, education sessions, alpacas for sale, fleece products, alpaca beans and selected items through our online shop.
