A little about us.
Battlefield 1403 is a Shropshire food destination based at Upper Battlefield near Shrewsbury, bringing together a farm shop, butchery, deli, café, exhibition, events and visitor attractions in one place. Our farm shop offers fresh seasonal produce that is home-grown or locally sourced in Shropshire, with low food miles, full traceability and a strong focus on freshness, seasonality and high production standards. We also make homemade food in our own kitchen, including soups, meals, desserts, cakes and tray bakes. Our butchery offers quality meats sourced from Shropshire and neighbouring counties where possible, with experienced butchers preparing cuts to order and offering advice. Our deli is known for homemade scotch eggs, sausage rolls, pies, salad dishes, cheeses, gift hampers and locally sourced produce from Shropshire and surrounding counties. Alongside the shop, butchery and deli, visitors can enjoy Sparrow’s Café, the Battle of Shrewsbury exhibition, events, the Tack Room, children’s ride-on tractors and the nearby Bird of Prey Centre, making Battlefield 1403 a strong local food and visitor destination.
